History

Synergy Tax & Business Solutions was founded by Sarah Queale in 2008. What started as a single-person operation quickly expanded into a team that is now 11 people strong and growing. Synergy opened its first office doors in 2014 and has since expanded into Toronto with more growth on the horizon.

Sarah Queale, MBA

Sarah is an entrepreneur, bookkeeper and opportunity-seeker. Having spent years supporting small and medium-sized businesses from a financial management perspective, she has seen the ups-and-downs of the entrepreneurial world. Sarah was educated in Business and Accounting at Fanshawe College in Ontario, Athabasca University in Alberta and Ivey Business School in Ontario.

With a passion for travel and exploration, she has visited many countries around the world, having seen many parts of Europe, Africa, Australia and New Zealand, and many great cities right here in North America. She has a unique, positive outlook on the world, and is always searching for a challenge. With a multitude of life experiences, she lends an interesting outlook on life, business and personal/professional growth.

Marsha Kalita

Marsha graduated from Fanshawe college in 2020 with honors in Business Accounting.  This is Marsha’s second career, and she comes to us with over 20 years of experience in Municipal work. In her former career she developed her leadership capabilities through several different leadership roles. Marsha started with us as a bookkeeper in 2022 and has recently moved into the role of Operations Manager. Marsha has built strong relationships with both her coworkers and our clients in her short time with us. She is the first point of contact for new potential clients and continues building the client relationship through the onboarding process. Marsha is a wife and mother of two kids she brags about on a regular basis. She enjoys the outdoors and has a cottage she spends a lot of time at in Northern Ontario. Amy Circelli

Amy has over 30 years of experience in accounting, with taxation as her specialty, which she thoroughly enjoys. Using her knowledge of taxes and accounting, Amy is proud to help individual tax clients maximize their refunds and each member of her corporate client roster enjoys the benefits of her attention to detail and expertise in account management. She loves to travel and have discovered the cruising life in the last few years. Amy grew up in Pickering and moved to London for University where she met her husband of 30 years.  She has two children, and her family is the most important thing in her life. What is it like working at Synergy? In Amy’s words: “I look forward to coming to work at Synergy every day.  There’s always something different, new challenges and situations. I’ve grown so much in my time here. It’s awesome to be surrounded by such a wonderful group of supportive professionals. They are like my family and we have a lot of fun!”

Adriana Roman

Adriana has celebrated 11 years with Synergy, being the first full-time employee to join the team back in 2014. Adriana holds a Bachelor of Finance Degree, and has made learning the ins and outs of new accounting software her specialty. With a unique ability to learn new things and adapt to a new business environment, Adriana is an asset both on or off-site to many large corporate clients, but also takes special interest in helping her sole proprietor clients thrive in the tax world. Adriana is a highly involved mom and in the rare moments she has spare time for herself, she enjoys travel, Food- and beverage-related hobbies, Loves being a Mom, the great outdoors, Fashion and overall just likes good time. Adriana was born and raised in Romania, moved to the USA in 2001 then to Canada in 2013. She builds strong, long-term relationships with her clients and is committed to giving 110% in everything that she does.

Catalin Pop

Catalin Pop has over 20 years of bookkeeping experience as a self-employed bookkeeper. He joined the Synergy team in February of 2023. Catalin has a diploma in Business Administration as well as a certificate in Payroll Administration. He enjoys being part of a small team of professionals in a dynamic and challenging work environment. Catalin is continuously improving his skills and furthering his education to help strengthen his knowledge to better serve his clients.

Catalin is a quiet, fun and sometimes mischievous addition to the office. His hard work and knowledge are often recognized and admired by his coworkers. A dog lover and active individual, Catalin loves to be outdoors and going for long walks with his dog.

Irene Queale

Irene is an accomplished Accounting Supervisor with a high degree of professionalism and strong problem resolution capabilities.  Maintaining 100% accuracy in processing and analyzing business reports. She is proficient at account management and dedicated to providing timely and accurate accounting reports to assist in cash flow management decisions. With Twenty-two years of experience in the life insurance industry, she excels at problem resolution and held a complex role encompassed training of insurance representatives in the retirement savings and income field across Canada. In addition to her decades of accounting experience, she has also made a point to focus on continuing education, to provide her clients with the best possible service. In her spare time, Irene enjoys outdoor activities such as gardening, as well as reading a good book, and crocheting.
